Fresenius Dialysis

Hey guys,

We were asked to help refinish the existing Fresenius Dialysis near Dominion Blvd in Chesapeake.  The goal of this project was to refresh the existing space back up to Fresenius’s high healthcare standards.  This project required working limited hours while the clinic was closed to ensure maintaining patient care to the patients.

First and foremost we needed to repair some of the existing drywall in preparation to receive the new Inpro Wall System.  The wall was primed to seal the drywall.  Then the Inpro Wall System was installed.  This wall protection system helps to protect the existing drywall from the every day use of a dialysis clinic. One of the main concerns in every dialysis clinic are ensuring every nook and cranny has been sealed, which required numerous amounts of caulking throughout the new wall panels.

The walls were then painted with Sherwin Williams Paint Shield.  The Paint Shield is a Microbicidal paint specially designed for healthcare ficilities.  A microbicidal paint kills virus, bacteria, and germs that are continuously exposed on a daily basis in a medical facility.

Finally the plumbing cabinet faces were scraped, sanded, primed and painted with a precatalized epoxy.  The epoxy was used instead of a enamel to ensure the panels would be cured in time for the clinic to open on Monday Morning.  While painting occured, to ensure no paint fumes remained, we ran an air scrubber during the painting, and even over night to help remove any paint fumes that may have remained.

Take a look at some of the progress pictures.

Thanks,

J.P.
